This website was created with certain concepts in mind. On this page, I will go over how to use this website for the websites intended purpose, but I highly encourage you to find other uses.
Although this website goes into various pieces of information, I would highly suggest utilizing ChatGPT (Large Language Model Artificial Intelligence) to help answer questions or provide you with additional information. ChatGPT.com (Do not only use ChatGPT for agriculture. Use ChatGPT for any questions you have about anything.)
Before we continue, I really want to emphasize part of what this website represents. I have a background and over a decade of work experience in IT (Information Technology). I took my skills and abilities to understand systems, my knowledge and experience in Information Technology, and created this website to help people. Yes, there is more importance directed toward people in poverty, but the concepts in this website can be used in many other areas. The main point is that I took my skills, ability, and knowledge, used them to learn Agriculture, and used my skills to help others by making this website. Besides making this website, I used Google Translate that is provided as a free service by Google, and I made this website available for all languages offered through Google Translate. If you have a website, in one of the tutorials below, I teach you how you can make your website available in other languages, too!
Does this mean that you cannot apply your skills and talents as well? There is nothing at all stopping you from using your skills to teach other people, especially those in poverty. I have spoken with people in all kinds of jobs that have worked in coffee shops, higher end body products, health stores, restaurants, hotels, and all sorts of other careers. If you have a job, you have skills. You can share your skills and educate others. You can easily hold your own outreach event and teach people your skills and build your own website, Youtube channel, and create your own methods to teach and reach others. If you know how to brew different types of coffee, have knowledge on the different types of coffee beans, and use the various tools in making coffee, then you have a skill. That skill can be used to hold your own outreach event to teach people your skills.
Besides making this website, I have gone to places in Southeast Asia and have offered a few of my skills such as my ability to speak English, knowledge in Information Technology, and understanding of computer theories. As a result, I have taught students and teachers in classes. In addition to this Agriculture101 website, teaching English, IT, and computer theory classes, while going around different locations, I have personally taught individuals various skills like adding their businesses to Google Maps, using Google Translate, taking 360 degree virtual tours of their business, using Godaddy to make their own free websites, creating free Google Mail accounts, making edits and writing information on Wikipedia, using Google Sheets and Google Documents, and how to use many other websites and free tools. You can too! (Even right now, I will finish writing this sentence, finishing linking the words at the bottom of this page to Wikipedia articles, make a QR code for people to scan and get to this page, and then go out and share this page with others, so they will learn how to translate and use Youtube, Google Translate, and Wikipedia.)
Section 1: Section 1 will go over a brief summary of some of the webpages on this website and their usages.
Section 2: Section 2 will go over some of the tools used to make the content on this website.
Section 3: Section 3 will go over some useful information on how to use the translation services on Youtube and Google Translate, as well as the benefits of Wikipedia.
Names (A-Z) - The main reason for the names (A-Z) webpages are to be used in conjunction with a nutrition app on a smartphone. The US and many developed countries have all kinds of free apps. However, in some cases like the US, some of these apps may not be offered in other languages. The names pages are to be used in conjunction with the nutrition apps to help translate the fruits and vegetables with visual images, and help make data and information entry into apps easier. If the person eats an apple, but the phone app is in English, then they can use google translate. Another option could be to use the images on this website, find the English name, and use that to enter their fruit and vegetable caloric intake. The nutrition app can help provide information to people in poverty and less developed countries to identify any vitamin and nutrient deficiencies, calorie count, break down of the food consumption into various categories, and help reduce malnutrition in their own areas.
Also, names sections are to help teach English, Burmese, and Thai names of fruits and vegetables to people. The name sections are a great source to teach children fruit and vegetable names in different languages, and help people traveling to these countries to help them identify the fruits and vegetables available to them. In most cases, fruit and vegetable names sold by vendors are not labeled or only show their respective name in their own language. People can use this website to make infographics (information graphics) with pictures and English, Thai, and Burmese names. The pictures and translations can be used to make cards, posters, and technically new products to sell, educational purposes, or in general. The images of fruits and vegetables will teach them English, Burmese, and Thai with pictures. As well as, how to write them. Being able to identify fruits and vegetables will be helpful for people when they go to markets to buy things.
Nutritional Data List - The entire list of fruits and vegetables are "all" of the fruits and vegetables found in local markets located in Myanmar and Thailand. The list of all of the fruits and vegetables found in Myanmar and Thailand are to provide a comparative list for people in Myanmar, Thailand, Southeast Asian countries, and other countries. A person living in a village or any location can do an audit of their own fruits and vegetables, compare their local list to the comprehensive list, and understand the difference between the lists. That means that if you live in a location and grow things not on the list, then you are growing a new product. However, if your location has only 10 out of the 250+ fruits and vegetables, then you need to start growing a whole lot more fruits and vegetables in your area. If you live in Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and anywhere else that is tropical and humid, these are fruits and vegetables that can be grown in your area. In the concepts section, you will see why these areas are great to grow all kinds of things, because the soil and climate in Southeast Asia allows for fruits to grow without much human interaction. Because there is no need to water fruit trees after a certain age, the natural climate in Southeast Asia provides adequate sun, soil, and water, we do not need to do much to help these plants and trees continue to strive and bare fruit and edible parts. That means "free" fruit which can help boost the local economy. Once your location is able to grow 230 different fruits and vegetables, then you can start to grow 270, 300, and then 1,000's of new fruit and vegetable plants and trees. Where ever you live, make your own list. Find out all of the things growing in your area, and help your people grow all of these things and more.
USA list Excel - A list of fruits and vegetables found in the Bay Area (located in California, United States). This list was compiled as a comparison to see all of the fruits and vegetable varieties found in local grocery stores. Another huge difference is that many of the fruits and vegetables found in United States grocery stores are organic and have strict regulations as to the definition of items labeled organic.
Nutritional information - To understand the raw data of the nutritional values of each product. This will allow us to go to villages, gather what fruits and vegetables they have, copy the data from my excel table, and show what they have as far as nutrition. Then we can look for any deficiencies. Once we spot a lack of certain things, then we can go back to my excel data, and search for fruits and vegetables that offer the most of what they are deficient at. The great news is that because all of the fruits and vegetables were found in Thailand and Myanmar, then all of these fruits and vegetables can be grown almost anywhere in Myanmar and Thailand.
Agriculture Intro - To understand the basic concepts of agriculture. All too often I spoke with farmers in Myanmar and Thailand that do not understand the basics of agriculture, biology, and the processes that are happening. They may know the basics of their specific area, but beyond that is a huge gap in knowledge. Many times I hear the words, "I don't know." Why do you harvest rubber that way? How many times do you harvest rubber and why? How much rubber is coming out from your trees? Why does one tree produce more rubber than the other? What causes some trees to not produce much rubber? Is there any quality difference in rubber from one tree to another? What is happening in the soil? What is the fertilizer for? What is the fertilizer doing? If they do not understand these ideas on the basic level, then trying to grow all kinds of fruits and vegetables becomes more challenging. Unfortunately, my example was rubber farmers, but the lack of knowledge in a huge number of occupations are fairly common. I have had farmers tell me, "oh, that does not grow here." Sadly, my thoughts are, "does that not grow here because the climate is not hospitable for growing that here, or do you not know how to grow that here and keep the plant and tree alive."
Concepts - We can think of the agriculture as a micro-level "how to" with details. The "concepts" page is the macro-level details of what to do and why beyond just growing fruits and vegetables.
Grow Guide Intro - Goes over basic information on how to grow each fruit and vegetable, as well as other possibilities like grafting. Also, this section is combined with real testing data and information from my own trials and experience. Which methods worked best for me, and what I learned. I did not want to make a website that only had theories and "how to's", but actual real information that was tested and tried and verified.
Grow Guide Ref - A quick reference to all of the fruits and vegetables I was able to grow. I did not want to just create a website of information. I wanted to create a website with real methods, information, and techniques I used and create data based on my own tested and validated experiences.
Grow Guide (A-Z) - Goes into more detail on the techniques that I used to grow the fruits and vegetables, provides data on each fruit and vegetable, and the additional information from those experiences.
Myanmar's Future Vision - A webpage dedicated to the peoples of Myanmar in an attempt to go over a multitude of concepts with the hopes that Myanmar can overcome all of the internal problems, and create a future in which all citizens work towards that great future and not only hopes for that future.
1. Image manipulation - This website gives us free tools for image manipulation. I used this website to resize images from larger to smaller sizes to create thumbnails and convert file formats to JPG. To resize the file sizes of a bunch of photos, I used the tool below listed as tool number five.
2. Google Lens - I took photos of fruits and vegetables and uploaded those photos to Google Lens to help me identify the fruits and vegetables in those pictures. For example, if you take a picture of fruits, upload them to Google Lens, Google Lens will try and tell you the type of fruit in that picture. However, I would highly suggest using Google Lens to identify many other things such as plants, trees, animals, flowers, locations, cars, fish, and insects. Another usage is to search objects and then shop or learn more information on those objects. For example, if you take a picture of a surge protector, then you can have Google Lens identify that surge protector, and you can shop for a new surge protector. Imagine walking down the street, seeing a nice bicycle, taking a picture of that bicycle, using Google Lens to identify that bicycle, and then you can search for that kind of bicycle to purchase.
3. USDA nutrition data - All of the nutritional data was gathered by searching for the fruit and vegetable on the USDA website and entered into Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Because my list contains fruits and vegetables I have seen in Myanmar and Thailand, does not represent all of the fruits and vegetables in other locations. If a fruit or vegetable in your area is not on my list, use the USDA website to search for the nutritional information on those fruits and vegetables.
4. Pixaby - A great website that offers free images to be used on your website.
In the next section, we will go over Youtube, Google Translate, and Wikipedia in a bit more detail.
5. Bulk Resize Photos - Website used to reduce the file sizes of a bunch of images at one time to make uploading to Godaddy a lot easier and faster.
6. Godaddy - This entire website was built using Godaddy's free website tools and features. Here is a free tutorial on how to build your own free Godaddy website. [Godaddy Tutorial]
This section was created to give you a bit more detailed information on how to use Youtube, Google Translate, and Wikipedia to better suit your needs. Before we continue, we need to understand why I am making this section. (For the "how to", you can skip down to each topic highlighted in bold (Youtube, Google Translate, and Wikipedia.)
Why this section was created:
(Summary: This section was created to help people all over the world understand that there are tutorials and educational content all over the world in different languages that may not be offered in their language. This section will teach you how to translate that content into your language and unlock all of that knowledge.)
Youtube is great for uploading videos to entertain billions of people all over the world. As much as I love Youtube for entertain like listening to my favorite music on my Youtube playlists, Youtube is absolutely great at offering us free educational videos provided by people all around the world in many different languages. Also, as Youtube has grown, so have many features and tools provided by Youtube.
However, one of the major issues with videos created by other people in their native language has to do with new technology. Highly technologically developed countries such as United States of America (USA), China, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and Switzerland (to name a few), are at the forefront of creating new technology. For example, if USA creates a new technology, people learn that new technology, make Youtube videos in English on how to use or learn that new technology, then searching for that video using the Malay language may not provide any videos in the Malay language.
This is because we will only have Malay videos spoken in Malay, if someone Malaysian makes that video. If someone that speaks Malay does not make an instructional video speaking Malaysian, then every single Malaysian that speaks Malay only, on the entire planet, will not have access to that information. (This is the same for all ethnicity and languages. If that information is not available for you in your language, then the possibility that that information is not available for everyone that speaks your language is a sad reality. Granted that I will show you ways to translate much of this information, I still highly encourage all of you to make Youtube videos in your native language!)
In the case of Agile Framework (Agile Framework is not new, but there are still almost no videos on Agile framework taught in the Burmese language), I used Google Translate to translate "I want to learn Agile framework" into Burmese "Agile framework ကို လေ့လာချင်ပါတယ်။" and searched Youtube by using the Burmese translated text, and I got all English videos on Agile framework. This means that these educational, training, and instructional videos that are leading their respective fields are not "available" to people in lesser developed countries unless they speak the same language of the people that created the videos.
Sadly, limited results for our language does not only apply to Youtube, but applies to our search results in general. When we search things on the internet, our searches are based on our language, and our results results are based on the things we searched. If content is not created by people that speak our language, then our results will be in other languages. However, thankfully, Youtube has used Machine Learning to auto-translate videos into different languages.
Google Translate - Text
The instructions embedded on this page are made in English. If you are already viewing this website based in your language, then click this Youtube Tutorial link to translate the instructions to your language.
If you are viewing this website in English and want to change the tutorial to another language, click this Youtube Tutorial Language link, and change "Myanmar (Burmese)" to the language of your choice.
If you followed the Youtube tutorial above, you can now learn more about the Agile framework and learn about other frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid, Lean, XP, Bimodal, and Crystal. As well as, almost every single educational video on Youtube teaching you for free almost anything you want to learn.
Unfortunately, because of the way in which content is created based on the original creators language, there are lot of new technologies that were not normally viably available to the rest of the world. Luckily, with things like Machine Learning and auto-translation, we now have access to learn and understand all of this information from people all around the world.
Google Translate is a great free website and phone application. If you do not have Google Translate on your phone, go and install the application now. Google Translate allows us to accomplish these translations in a matter of seconds. Before, a website had to take teams and teams of people working on translations, but now we let Machine Learning do the translations automatically for us.
In this part we will learn some basics on how to use the Google translate website.
Because of the different ways in which we can use Google Translate, I have given each tool a separate tutorial. The tutorials for Google Translate are separated into the the following instructions.
Instruction 1: Text - Teaches how to change text from one language to another.
Instruction 2: Images - Teaches how to translate the text in images to another language.
Instruction 3: Documents: Teaches how to change documents into another language.
Instruction 4: Websites: Teaches how to change a websites language into another language.

Before we continue, we should discuss the significance of these free translation tools provided by Google and Youtube (technically owned by Google).
Developed countries are developing new technologies. This is an obvious statement. However, the scale at which these developed countries are developing new technologies is at a huge pace. Undeveloped countries like Myanmar are far behind. Not by a little, but by huge gaps. Some undeveloped countries may seem developed because they have the purchasing power to buy products from developed countries, but these countries in almost every scenario, develop none of those products.
For these countries to begin to become truly developed, they must begin to learn all of the technology needed to develop these new products. Being able to translate and learn the newest technology, will give people in these impoverished situations options. As of right now, people all over the world are giving other people free videos on learning everything. The only question you have to ask yourself is "what do I want to learn today?" If you have a cell phone, internet connection, and press some buttons on your screen, in a few seconds, you can learn about almost anything in the entire universe for free!
Warning!!! Get ready to see a glimpse of the power of Wikipedia.

Do you want to know how the sun works? What is a violin? I am sure you think you know what a violin is, but read that article and tell me you did not know a whole lot more about violins. Do you want to learn about the Higgs boson? (The Higgs boson is contributed as thee particle that "gives" everything in the entire universe mass! Without the Higgs boson, nothing in the entire universe would exhibit the force of gravity. There would be no us, no stars, no galaxies, and definitely not the entire universe as we see today. One of the most important things in the entire universe is unknown to most people.) What is the composition of the planets and moons in the solar system? How to do stock day trading? How to redesign your living room? What are the latest breakthroughs in the medical field? What are the top ten computer technologies to learn? How to be a great parent? What is the Kuiper belt? The truth is that all of those answers and more are out there for us to discover and learn at any moment. Thankfully, websites like Youtube and Wikipedia provide us many of those answers. Google's search engine helps people all over the world find answers! ChatGPT helps give you answers! The real question is, what do you want to learn?
Do you see the power of Wikipedia? Every single link is to an article that gives us a wealth of knowledge for free. Did you read the Wikipedia article on fences? We may think we know what a fence is. The reality is that we know the very basic definition of what a fence "is", and we use that definition to label everything that seems to fit that definition as a "fence". I guarantee you that if you read the Wikipedia article on fences you will learn a whole lot more about fences than you ever knew. How many different types of fences could you name after reading the article? Also, each Wikipedia article has a bunch of links to other articles with even more information for us.

From about a month worth of lessons, I built a ML programming to inform rubber farmers whether they should harvest rubber from a particular tree or not based on age, rainfall, date of last harvest, current yield, and previous yield. If the data entered for that particular tree met certain criteria, the result would return a "1" for "harvest", and a "0" for "do not harvest". This type of ML program would output the maximum yield of rubber for every single tree. (I would actually add more weights, but I made the ML program for fun.)
The reality is that you can make your own ML programming right now! Other machine learning projects that I made was a real estate calculator for housing prices to predict the price of a home, a ML program to predict the musical preference of a person, a ML program that took age, salary, and location to predict the type of car they would purchase, a ML program that took chocolate producers information from around the world, took a chocolate sample, and would show which chocolates from around the world were the closest match to the sample to resupply chocolate in the case of a supply chain disruption. These can all be modified to create far more ML programs. Why should the rubber ML program be for rubber only? Why not convert the ML program to decide how many fruits to grow on a tree for maximum yield before harvest? Why not convert the housing price calculator to calculate the price of merchandise for your store to better meet more realistic consumer standards? Why use the ML to guess musical preference? Why not convert the ML program that guesses musical preference to guess the type of ice cream a person would order based on the age of the people that come into your store? You can do all of this, for free, this information is free, for you!!! What do you want to do?
Here are a bunch of free lectures from people all around the world doing amazing things and giving you free information and ideas. How many amazing things are you doing?!

Here is how to create a image classification ML model. Want to learn how to sort Mangosteen, so you can separate Mangosteen into different piles instead of one whole batch of Mangosteen for the same price. Go through the free tutorial, collect Mangosteen data, and modify the code for Mangosteens. Does this have to be only fruit? This is an image classifier. What about shirt designs? What if you collect all of the shirts that are sold and feed the designs into an image classifier that will tell you the likelihood that this shirt design will sell at your store? What about a model agency? What about interior design? What about furniture? What about fruit drinks? What about a flower shop? What about product placement?
